The ELA Research Foundation invites the international scientific community to submit research applications in the field of genetic leukodystrophies, cerebral white matter injury of the premature infant and myelin repair.

The Board of Trustees of the ELA Foundation, chaired by Olivier Coutrix, met on April 4, 2007. The aim of this meeting was to approve the finances of the Foundation for the year 2006 and plan the budget for the year 2007. In 2006, the ELA Foundation financed 42 research projects in 11 different countries for a total amount of 3.6 millions euros. For 2007, 4.5 millions euros have already been committed for funding of research.
